Older folks in the south don't care about your feelings when it comes to your weight. My late grandmother started to mention I was getting fat. Instead of letting that discourage me, I used it as encouragement to start my fitness journey. I've been grinding for about 8 years now. I've done everything from Insanity to some powerlifting. I've embraced the journey as a lifestyle change that renders worship to God. We are stewards of these temples so let's steward well.
The blessing of being able to move is not something I take for granted and I find that it also gives me another opportunity to rely on God to strengthen me through self-control. I started a women's group on Facebook to provide some inspiration and accountability to the women in my circle so that we all can grow together.
